Vegas is a very exciting place, especially when you finally turn the big 21 and you are able to actually enjoy everything Vegas has to offer. I have been to Vegas multiple times before, but all of my experiences have been from under a year-old perspective. The pools, the clubs, the bars, the casinos, the shopping and everything in between is all anyone could have ever imagined and more. Two weeks ago, I got to go to Vegas for the first time as a legal adult, so here are some things to expect during your trip to Sin City. Yep, you read that right.

21st birthday deals
I am planning a trip mid February for my daughter s 21st birthday. I have been to Vegas numerous times, but not in the last 10 years. I am sure it has changed tons! Looking for advice on great hotel deals on the strip and any shows or fun things to do that would be appealing to a 21 year old. We are planning on going to Freemont St. Other than that we have nothing planned except our airfare is already booked. Any ideas on where to stay, shows, fun places to eat- things to do?
We are not interested in leaving Vegas, i. Hoover Dam , Grand Canyon , etc. Any help appreciated, as I want to make this an epic birthday for her!! We remove posts that do not follow our posting guidelines, and we reserve the right to remove any post for any reason. Definitely go to Dicks Last Resort in Excalibur for a meal. They are crazy there and she will be the butt of a few jokes. In a fun way.
An evening ride on the High Roller would be great. Some stand-up comedy shows are fun. See Absinthe, she will love it. I would consider staying at the Cosmo. Perfect for her age. Dead center of strip. You can get any meal you like at any price point. I think that you are an amazing mother to take such time and effort to plan a perfect birthday; good on ya! But as Garret M noted, other than zip-lining which I truly hope that you have canvassed with your daughter before planning it; even when I was twenty-one, just the idea of doing it would have caused me to mess myself , you do not give us any indication of your daughter s likes and dislikes.
I would suggest very different experiences for a twenty-one year old who loves nature, or theatre, or just watching the world go by. But again, kudos to you for being such a great mother. I would look into a night club one evening, such as Omnia. Im sure your daughter would love to experience a Vegas club. As far as shows, I would suggest Mystere or O and if you like crude funny dirty humor Absinthe.
Sometimes, just casino hopping and having a drink at different bars is fun. We actually leave tomorrow to celebrate my daughters 21st which was Friday. The kids have never been, however the husband and I try and get there yearly. We are going downtown to zip line too. She wants to check out the container park and the neon graveyard also. For the strip we are going to see absinthe, We got tickets for the high roller, bar cart and we plan to time it during sunset to watch the lights turn on.
She wants to do the stratosphere rides, and the roller coaster. And about a million other things. As others have said, Cosmo is perfect for a 21 year old. If budget doesn t stretch that far then I recommend Planet Hollywood just across the street from Cosmo. Will she be 21 before you travel? Vegas is no fun if you are 20 years and days. Ensure she carries photo ID at all times.
She will be carded a lot, even just standing in casinos. To make sure it is epic, echoing what djg said, it will be much better if she is either already 21 upon arrival to LV or at the very beginning of trip. Make sure she s 21 when she gets there, the very worst turning 21 at midnight the day you get there. Nothing is worse than being in Vegas and not able to do anything. Happy Half Hour at the High Roller could be fun. How about taking her to get a blowout at Dry Bar, hit up the High Roller, then do a great dinner all dressed up?
Mid-February is a fairly cheap time, especially if you re missing Presidents Day. What is your budget and exact dates so we can better recommend a hotel? Cosmo would be great but Planet Hollywood also has a younger vibe and is mid-strip. MGM is also a great property with a lot to do. All of your saved places can be found here in My Trips.

Her birthday may have been last week, but Gigi Hadid is milking the milestone celebration for all it s worth. I am surprising my son and a friend of his with a trip to Vegas on his 21st birthday in August. Since this will be his first trip, I have decided to stay mid strip. I know these are two very different resorts and different types of rooms. I have never stayed in either resort. I d choose the Venetian over Mirage. Many people don t consider it mid-strip. Did you look at Cosmo before narrowing it down to your two choices? That would be the spot most 21 year olds would want to be. I am only 27 so i remember my first vegas trip, when i turned 21, well.
21st Birthday Party Ideas
I am going to Vegas for my 21st and I have never gone before. I am not looking to be surrounded by families and not really going to gamble either, I m going to party and just have a good time time. What things would be worth our time and get the best bang for our buck. When are you going? TI does not have a younger crowd. Cosmo would be 1 but very pricy. Only drinking tip is buy drinks for your room. If you are not gambling, drinks are pricy at the bar.
As the entertainment capital of the world, Vegas offers some of the most unforgettable birthday experiences.

Christine Austin Texas. Heading to Las Vegas for my sister s 21st birthday with a bunch of our friends. We want to celebrate and take her somewhere really nice. What are some good fine dining establishments in Las Vegas? No buffets, please! We re willing to splurge for this special occasion, so budget is not an issue. I would second Picasso Restaurant, Bellagio. Great food and time tested. Alize has a fantastic view in addition to outstanding food and great service. It would be a perfect spot for a birthday dinner. I d totally recommend Mon Ami Gabi , and reserve a table on the outdoor patio so you can watch the Bellagio Hotel s famous fountains while you dine! They have outdoor space heaters that keep things very warm, so don t worry if you go during a cold month. The food is amazing, and the outdoor seating with the Bellagio fountains in the back feels so glamorous:
Planet Hollywood. Agree with above in order of budget. Actual hotel doesn t really matter since everything is in walking distance. Be aware that the new 21 year old will need current government issued photo ID to enjoy LV. Depending on when you re going in December, rates will be very cheap or fairly expensive. If you visit during NFR, rates might be on the high side. If you re going to be there for New Year s Eve which is a ball! Most other dates in December are quite cheap, making otherwise costly hotels much more affordable.
I ll be going to Vegas for my 21st Birthday in about a month s time. Not there for free stuff but would be cool to know about it. I ve read people have had room upgrades and stuff like that.. I m more keen about the nightclubs and whether I d be able to get bar tabs, VIP or even meeting my favourite DJ s might be pushing it on that one. Also any offers for the circus as I d be seeing all the CDS shows which is gonna add up to quite a bit. Forgot to mention I ll be staying at Luxor.. Is this a joke post? You will get nothing special. The clubs, no way. In fact you better be 21 the day you want to enter a casino, bar or nightclub. Out of curiosity why on earth are you seeing all the CDS shows, there are huge similarities between many of them, I would regard this as wasted evenings tbh. They let you spin the wheel at the Mlife desk in the Luxor.
